Best Online iPhone Simulators, iPad Simulators, iOS Simulators

Best online iPhone simulators for free, available here to download. First I will share my experience on how I choose this article to write. One of my friends is a pure mobile developer, but he isn’t good with the design part of it, so he called me up just to help him check the UI of a couple of sites he was working on. But as soon as I posted the link on my browser, I immediately realized that he also wanted me to check it on an iPhone and an iPad. But sadly, I didn’t own either one of them at the time, so I had to find an alternative and search for the latest online iPad iPhone Simulators that could help me out for now. Since I came across quite a few of them, I decided to put them all on a list on my blog.

These may not the best you can find over the Internet or may not even compare to the actual paid software which is used to test your websites and applications, but still thought they do help out in getting an idea, at least an overview of what you can expect with the responsiveness of a site. Even Apple has their versions of iPad simulators and iPhone Simulators to test and they also recommend them over any other third-party tools or services. Still, I decided to consolidate the ones which I felt are the best and … most importantly… FREE iPad iPhone Simulators.

  1. is also another online simulator which has been around over the Internet for a long time and has the capability of providing the users to test websites and web apps on iPhone 4, iPhone 5 and I think the latest version of the iPad. Not too many options but a screen rotation feature are provided which pretty much gets the job done for most users who just want to see how the site looks on an iPad or iPhone in both landscape and portrait layouts.

Next among the chosen ones among the Online iPad iPhone Simulators is the simple straight forward which provides multiple screens to test for, like iPad, iPhone, Android, Nexus Tablet, etc. You just have to enter the URL and press “go”. You will get all the results on the same page, one under another with all the different layouts (landscape and portrait) for all the devices I mentioned before.
They have a pretty cool paid service to “create your own Responsinator”, which allows you to create a subdomain on this website and customize the look and feel of the whole page according to your brand or liking and use it as your own online tool. They have a yearly and a monthly plan, with very reasonable pricing.

Test your website on an iPhone and iPad using this online tool. Simply enter the URL and press “start test”. By default, it shows how the website looks on an iPhone (maybe iPhone 5 to be exact), and if you want to see how it looks on an iPad, then you have to click a small fixed button with an arrow on the right of the screen which says “iPad”. This will make the site scroll horizontally and display how the URL looks on an iPad. You also have an option of zooming in and out on the iPhone simulator part. And when you are done testing and all, you can share the unique URL created for the site you tested on this application. Just click the grey button at the bottom of the page “share this page setting” to copy the link provided for you.

Simply type in the URL for your site and view the scrollable simulations below on the same screen. It shows you how things look on an iPad Retina and iPhone5. The iPad simulators shows landscape as well as portrait layouts on the same screen.

5. is a pretty awesome simulator, actually pretty close to being an emulator. This has multiple options to show all kinds of Apple devices, and that too the latest versions of them. It allows you to test for the iPhone 4S, iPhone 5S, iPhone 6, iPhone 6+, iPhone 6S, iPhone 6S+, iPad Air and iPad Air 2, with an added option of choosing the IOS version between 8.4 and 9.2.

Another great thing about this is the option of checking on the Android devices as well like the Nexus 5, Nexus 7, Nexus 9 and Nexus Physical with the Android version of 5.1.1. And an even better option, and I loved this option, is the additional testing for an “Android Wear”. And obviously, you have screen rotation capability on all the scenarios and also have a cute feature of choosing the colour of the devices between white and black.

6. ScreenFly

Just enter the URL in the textbox and press “go”. You have loads of screen choices to test like a desktop, television, tablet, mobile and even custom screen resolution option where the user can enter his/her dimensions. It allows the user to further select the specific brand or type of device under each kind of screens like under tablets you have 3 kinds of Kindle, Samsung Galaxy Tab, Google Nexus 7 and Apple iPad. For Mobile devices, you have a huge list of options like multiple Motorola devices, all the iPhones, Blackberry and a few more Android devices from other brands like Samsung, ASUS, LG, etc.

And last but not least, different resolutions for television screens from 480p to 720p to 1080p. Pretty cool options right? They have the standard screen rotation feature and few other unique features like toggling of scrolling on the device, using a proxy server to check the URLs and sharing the unique link of the URL you are currently testing.

This is another powerful choice among the listed online iPad iPhone Simulators, which has a free as well as a paid version. The free service provides you the option of testing on a selected number of devices like Apple iPhone 5, HTC One, Nokia Lumia 920, Samsung Galaxy Y, Google Nexus 7 and Apple iPad Mini. If you want to check on more devices, then you have to opt for the paid service for a price of around $10, but it also provides you with a 30-day trial period before you pay. You have screen rotation feature and also get a unique URL to share.

Test your site on iPhone 3G, iPhone 4, iPhone 5 and Samsung Galaxy S3. As usual, just enter the URL and see how it looks on the selected device. They also provide as option of embedding this tool with your URL to any site, but this is only available for the paid subscribed members. But they have discontinued to provide paid packages a while back so not sure how to use the embed feature now or maybe it is free for all now.

Best iPhone Simulators

1. iPhone 4 Simulator / iPhone 5 Simulator / iPhone 5c Simulator

You must be thinking why I have mentioned all the different versions of iPhone Simulators in one title heading. Well, since after going through each one of these 3 sites.  I realized these are made by the same person with the same tool features and same UI.  So what they did is just host each of the tools for specific iPhone devices according to the respective versions like 4, 5 and 5c.  So for each one of them they have chosen to have a dedicated domain name and provide the option of testing a site on an iPhone with screen rotation capability. Each of these 2 websites also has an option of unique custom URLs for testing purposes as well as sharing purposes like if I wanted to test “”, so by just putting the URL like, it would automatically show the result in the simulator.

I wouldn’t say this is one of the best but still gets the job done pretty nicely.  If you just to need check or test your URL on an iPhone 3. It has no other options or devices to test on.

Best iPad Simulators

A free online iPad2 simulator served to the world by a front-end developer and UI designer. Alex Volkov on his personal blog. It is one of the oldest iPad simulators which can be used on the browser and is also the easiest to find when you search on Google.  No extra options or customization can be done on this free tool, not even screen rotation. You can just test your website and share the tool itself on social media sites.
